I get asked daily about how to get an Instant Pot in Israel and would love to help!
For those unaware, the Instant Pot is an electric pressure cooker with multiple functions (depending on model - Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Sterilizer, Yogurt Maker), several other brands made similar products that compete with the Instant Pot. You can cook a whole chicken from frozen in a short amount of time, I boiled a tongue in there for 2 hours, and normally it would take 4 hours+. Some people even bake desserts too, the options are truly endless.
It's important to know that you cannot officially buy an Instant Pot within Israel. The brand doesn't exist here and there isn't a service center, nor warranty. On the other hand, you can get several other models from alternative brands such as, Sauter, Ninja, Hamilton Beach, Crockpot, among others all make copy-cat products that function similarly.
There are several downsides, mainly the manual and buttons are in Hebrew (in some cases), you cannot use many of the Instant Pot accessories, spare parts, and bonus features in their competitor's products, and there is a much smaller community around them rather than the Instant Pot one (with millions of happy customers). You can check KSP (Israeli electronics chain) for some examples. You should be looking for a סיר לחץ רב תכליתי as it's called in Hebrew, which translates to a mutli-function pressure cooker.
You may know that they do sell Instant Pots from the US, but it is advised against ordering from there due to it running off of 110 Volts rather than 220 Volts which we use in Europe. If you were to plug in a 110V appliance into an Israeli adapter, it could blow the circuit, destroy the item, and cause serious damage. It is possible to buy a transformer and run it off of that, but it may degrade the lifespan of the appliance.
That leaves us with buying from the UK, shipping is a little more expensive and they use another plug header type which is not the same as in the rest of the EU, but it comes with two cords: one for EU (used in Israel too) and one for the UK. So you don’t need any sort of adapter. In addition, the customer service is outstanding. You can call their toll free number from here and they will resolve your issue - often sending a replacement pot. I don’t know if that will change now that Corelle has bought the Canadian company. But, their support has made all the difference

If you want to play it smart, you can buy the IP from the UK, and any non electric part from the US (with free shipping). Another thing to look out for is to make sure the accessories and parts you buy (optional) fit your specific model name and volume.
